Dear Joshua ISD families,

During the 89th Texas Legislative Session, lawmakers passed Senate Bill 12, which requires school districts to obtain annual parental/guardian consent before providing routine health services in a campus health office. Routine services include acute care, chronic disease management and more. SB 12 goes into effect on September 1, 2025.

Please note: Students will always receive appropriate emergency care, including standing order emergency medications, as needed.
