The Board recognized the first JISD Special Olympic Bowling Team for all their hard work over the past few months in preparation for the Area Special Olympic Bowling Tournament held on October 25. The athletes who participated are below:

Under 15 Boys:
4th - Athan Spratley

Under 15 Boys Ramp Bowlers:
1st - Evan Vawter
1st - Jaxson Lee

Over 15 Boys:
1st - Jaxon Spratley
2nd - Bryan Luce
3rd - Garrett Cox

Over 18 Boys Ramp Bowlers:
1st - Tyler Goetz

Over 15 Girls Ramp Bowlers:
1st - Jasmine Perez

Over 15 Girls:
1st - Miranda Campbell
2nd - Cadyn Anderson-Stroud

Coaches and volunteers: Cinnamon Geddie, Nicole DeTommaso, Wendy King, Reggie McElroy, Shana McCollough and Sharon Clay. The Board also recognized Michael Flowers from Pin Center Bowling Alley in Cleburne for donating the lanes for these students to practice.

The Board recognized Corben Langley, a fifth grader from Plum Creek Elementary, for winning the District Spelling Bee on October 27.

The Board recognized the Staples Elementary Junior Safety Patrol for their service on their campus. The group was chosen and recognized for their character, integrity, ability to show compassion and concern for their classmates. Those recognized included Matthew Goggans, Mila Weaver, Riley Fricke, Debra Lanzara, Bri Batchelor, Izeah Rivera, Carter Wyatt, Logan Green, Nathan Chacon, Manavi Choate, Logan Harlin and sponsor Lori Jones.

The Board recognized the Loflin Middle School girls seventh-grade cross country team for winning first place in the Lone Star 8 district championship on October 4. The athletes recognized were Brynlynn Carroll, Alyssa Steenbergen, Teagan Maxey, Kolbi Clark, Carmen Daniel, Grace Gleason, Heidi Mallewick and Coach Haley Robertson.

The Board recognized the Loflin Middle School boys seventh-grade cross country team for winning second place in the Lone Star 8 district championship on October 4. The athletes recognized were Mason Turner, Mark Davenport, Judah Molina, Paolo Perez, Jaxson Reeves, Eli Brown, Levi Velasquez and Keaton Wortham.
